Chicago Tap Workshop Series at the American Rhythm Center

Come take class with Sarah in Chicago at the American Rhythm Center one Sunday per month for the next four months - beginning February 24th! 

Advanced class will be held 12–1:15 PM
Intermediate class will be 1:30–2:45 PM

Classes will focus on a different style of music and feel each month: Funk on February 24th, a Waltz in March on the 10th, uptempo Swing on April 28th, and historical shout outs in honor of National Tap Dance Day on May 26th. 

Cost: $20 per class. Same day registration.
Payment can be made with cash, check payable to DSP, or with the Cash app.

Rhythm ISS… Returns!

Rhythm ISS… Returns! was performed at the Studebaker Theatre in Chicago on July 21st, 2018, and  reunited the original members of “Rhythm ISS…” an influential all-female Tap dance company from the late 1990’s/early 2000’s.

(I)della Reed-Davis, (S)arah Savelli, and (S)haron Rushing assembled an amazing cast of Chicago-based female hoofers to join them in revisiting the company’s intricate rhythms and signature style. Featuring appearances by the legendary Dianne Walker and Star Dixon, this performance was a resounding hit and is now part of a larger project to preserve and document the company and its place within the larger context of women in tap history.
